The mission of the Edwards Center is to enhance the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them to reach their highest potential through training, education, employment, housing, support and social opportunities in environments that are safe and healthy. Edwards Center is a private not for profit corporation that provides a wide variety of services, including employment, residential, transportation and social opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. Edwards Center provides a safe supportive place to live for people in Washington County with developmental disabilities. We provide jobs and support so that people with disabilities can live in their own apartments in our community. In addition we provide transportation and special activities for the people we serve. |
Non-profits do the work of the state now that institutions are closed. When you give, your dollars help fill the most immediate needs of the people we serve - jobs and homes. We need your help. The costs associated with these services (gasoline, insurance, heat, etc.) have risen substantially. We rely on community support to maintain and furnish our residences, pilot new programs and to serve on our Board of Directors.
