We provide camp experiences to children and families affected by insulin dependent diabetes and help them to become independent and confident in managing their diabetes care. In our medically supervised camp environment children learn to perform blood glucose tests, give themselves insulin and rotate injection sites. They make new friends, gain confidence, and leave camp with improved self-esteem. Best of all they realize that they are not alone dealing with challenging disease. |
This is your chance to make dreams come true for children living with diabetes. Our family camps and eight-week summer camp programs help children ages 3 to 17 grow toward living happier and more independent lives. Each year more than 450 participants come to camp to learn, play, relax and grow. Gales Creek Camp Foundation is a nonprofit organization, Tax ID # 93-6010464.
