Our mission: to foster and reflect community commitment to education and the pursuit of knowledge by providing access and opportunities, through advocacy and financial support of the Hillsboro Public Library; to educate, encourage, enrich, and enlighten the population by enhancing collections, technology, services, and facilities of the Hillsboro Public Library. The current focus of the Library Foundation of Hillsboro is a Capital Campaign to raise $1 million frοm private donations and grants to help with the interior finishing of the new main library open in 2007. All pledges can be received over a multi-year period, ending December 31, 2010, and all amounts are welcome. There are specific named giving opportunities, outdoor bricks, and interior tiles for purchase. |
The new main Hillsboro Public Library is within the Dawson Creek Corporate Park, centrally located within the city limits, 4.0 miles frοm the current Tanasbourne Library, and 3.5 miles frοm the Shute Park Branch. The Tanasbourne operation has moved to the new Main Library. The Shute Park Branch Library will remain open at its location on the west side of Hillsboro. Library Foundation of Hillsboro is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Tax ID # 94-3107840. Donations to Library Foundation of Hillsboro are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law. |
