Oregon HEAT’s mission is to develop and coordinate resources to help low income Oregonians meet their energy needs and achieve energy self-reliance through energy education and advocacy.

When 429,000 Oregon families are at risk of choosing between feeding their families and warming their homes, we need to step up as a community and help our neighbors. Since our founding in 1989, we've done exactly that. Through collaboration with 33 agency partners and 3 utilities, Oregon HEAT's core program assists people with paying energy bills or purchasing bulk fuels (oil, propane and wood) in emergencies.  

In the last four years, we've helped more than 90,000 low-income Oregonians with energy assistance.  Last winter nearly 1,400 people right here in Washington County got the help they needed because of neighbors who care. Thank you!
