In 2008 the Multnomah County Animal Shelter had to euthanize 3,000 cats.  Washington County statistics are just as grim:  2,700 cats--65% of the cats that were taken in.

POPPA, Inc. makes it possible for animal  caregivers throughout Oregon to obtain FREE and/or low-cost spay/neuter operations for cats and other small companion pets by directing those on public assistance to resources in their area, and/or funding the surgery outright, when necessary, by utilizing local veterinarians who cooperate with      POPPA, Inc.

POPPA, Inc. is an ALL volunteer run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization working to reduce the number of homeless animals in Oregon through spay/neuter of companion animals and education of the need for spay/neuter of ALL pets BEFORE they reproduce.

POPPA, Inc. has assisted in the spay/neuter of over 15,500 companion animals since 2001.

YOU can help save lives and prevent abuse and neglect by donating to our spay/neuter program today! TOGETHER we can reduce the numbers of unwanted and homeless companion animals, thereby making ALL pets precious again. Donations to POPPA, Inc. are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
