Mission:
The Vision Action Network (VAN) is a private non-profit organization committed to the promotion and support of collaborative community-based problem solving in Washington County.
Goals:
- LISTEN : VAN assesses community needs and serves as an information resource for important community issues.
- FOCUS : VAN prioritizes practical strategies that respond to established community needs
- ACT : VAN is a catalyst for community initiatives that enhance the quality of life in our community.
These are a few of VAN's recent successes:
- VAN facilitated the development of the now independent Community Housing Fund, which works to generate new sources of income for affordable housing in Washington County.

- VAN fostered the development of the Inter-Religious Action Network of Washington County, which brings together diverse faith communities to raise awareness and take collective action on community issues.
- VAN, along with the Commission on Children & Families, facilitated the development of Hands On Washington County, a volunteer clearinghouse designed to increase volunteering in our community.
