The mission of NW Bicycle Safety Council is to educate and promote safety and harmony between cyclists and others who share the road, as well as strengthen community and family ties through cycling-related programs and events.
Our programs include Bicycle safety fairs and clinics for adults and children, a monthly television program on bicycle safety education, and annual bicycle skills rodeo for children.
Through Bicycle Safety Fairs and other community events, we offer free bicycle safety inspections and free helmets and helmet fittings for children in need and their families. Our scholarship program for needy children of the Police Activities League (PAL) affords these children a chance to participate in after school programs, which include bicycle safety events.
NWBSC hosts a monthly public access interview and call-in television program, which features local and regional bicycle, safety, and fitness experts.
Many parents, youth, school administrators, and members of the community are not aware of the importance of bicycle safety education. The public needs to be educated about bicycle safety in their neighborhoods so that demand and support can be generated. Your donations will help us continue with these vital programs.
NW Bicycle Safety Council is a 501(c)3 non profit organization, Tax ID # 61-1488500. Donations to NW Bicycle Safety Council are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
