The mission of the Beaverton Literacy Council (BLC) is to provide instruction in English as a Second Language and in U.S. Citizenship. Taught by trained community volunteers, classes for adult learners are available at all levels frοm beginning to advanced. Classes are held during the traditional school year at various locations in Beaverton.

Beaverton Literacy Council is registered with the Oregon Secretary of State as a nonprofit public benefit corporation (#651351-89) and with the Oregon Department of Justice as a charitable activity (#28076). Beaverton Literacy Council is a 501(c)(3) organization as determined by the US Internal Revenue Service (#93-1280268). Gift donations (monetary and in-kind) to the Beaverton Literacy Council are usually deductible as charitable contributions. |
