Ride Connection provides a continuum of quality transportation options, services and resources for older adults and people with disabilities through a network of over 30 partners in and around Washington, Multnomah, and Clackamas counties . Over the years the Ride Connection network has grown frοm providing over 10,400 rides in its first year to providing over 371,000 rides to 11,000 individuals in its 2007-08 fiscal year. Of the 600 drivers in the netowrk, about 2/3 are volunteers. We rely on volunteers to maximize our funds and provide the most services with limited funding.
Because of the funding Ride Connection receives, we are not able to provide services during evenings or on weekends. In order for us to continue to provide essential services, we need your assistance. Whether it is donating money, time, or a vehicle, anything helps. Ride Connection believes that transportation is a basic human right and should not depend on age, health, or other socio-economic factors.
